Under the direction of bassist Stewart Miller, a regular in jazz clubs, recording studios, and festivals around Chicago, the Music Institute of Chicago Adult Jazz Combo improvises in many styles including swing, bebop, Dixieland, Latin, modal, jazz-rock (fusion), and contemporary. The group is comprised of dedicated members who play alto sax, clarinet, double bass, tenor sax, drums, vibes and percussion. The Music Institute of Chicago provides students of all ages the opportunity to explore jazz through stellar private instruction, small combos, and improvisation.
