This workshop, offered at the Chicago Botanic Garden and Lincoln Park Zoo, will focus on the importance of teaching science to prekindergarten children. Participating in hands-on learning “stations” will inspire you to incorporate the life cycle of plants and animals into your classroom in every season. This class is designed for preK educators but is adaptable for grades preK-2.
Custom Workshops for Preschool through High-School Teachers
Staff in the Center for Teaching and Learning can develop custom workshops to be presented at the Garden or delivered at your site. Teachers, administrative staff, and parent or neighborhood volunteers can all participate through active learning that illustrates grade-appropriate techniques for integrating plant-based learning into the curriculum. Please call Teacher Programs staff at (847) 835-8253 for more information about scheduling and pricing of custom workshops.
