The duo blends vocal harmonies reminiscent of the Beatles and the Everly Brothers, delivered in an original, heartfelt style. Last summer, they placed second out of more than 200 contestants in a suburban Chicago talent competition.

Their songs teach musical basics like melody and rhythm, and kids are encouraged to join in and shout out answers to questions in the songs. Wendy & DB also introduce kids to instruments including maracas and bells.

Bring a picnic dinner and spend an evening at the Chicago Botanic Garden! Experience the Grunsfeld Children’s Growing Garden in the fall and see what happens in a garden at the end of the growing season.

Experience the Grunsfeld Children’s Growing Garden in the fall and see what happens in a garden at the end of the growing season. You and your child will explore the garden to find unique plants used for food, discuss composting plant material and fall clean-up, and even plant and harvest some veggies to take home.

Learn how to tell a moth from a butterfly, visit the Hidden Beauty of Moths exhibition, and look for moths and butterflies at the Chicago Botanic Garden. Then create a Lepidoptera haven to invite butterflies and moths to your yard.
