GLENCOE, IL (May 12, 2014)Sample wines from around the world while enjoying the idyllic backdrop of McGinley Pavilion at Grapevines & Wines on Thursday, May 22. Visitors can sample more than 50 different varieties and indulge their senses with a wide range of bouquets. Included among the wineries are new micro-wineries that haven’t launched yet. 

Participating wineries include: Cooper’s Hawk, Frontera Wines, Garnacha Wines, Louis Glunz Wines, Heritage Wine Cellars, Lagniappe Beverage, Raya Imports, Simple Farmer Wines, The Sorting Table, and Wollersheim. A retailer, Good Grapes in Glencoe, will be on-site selling wines that will be sampled. Light fare will be available for purchase as will wine by the glass.

Hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Attendees must be 21 or older with valid ID to attend. Advance tickets are $30; day-of tickets are $33. Garden members receive $5 off each ticket price. Standard parking fees apply. Visit chicagobotanic.org/wines to purchase tickets or for more information.
