Peruvian Lily

Deep yellow flowers with freckled throats fade to cream at the tips of the petals on this naturally dwarf cultivar with sturdy stems adapted for pot planting or bedding use. It prefers full sun and moderate to moist, well-drained soils. Hardy to USDA Zone 7, in the Chicago area the tubers need to be dug up and overwintered in a frost-free location to reuse the following year. The plant attracts hummingbirds and butterflies, and deer and rabbits love the tender, succulent stems.
