Natural Areas
Natural areas comprise more than half of the Garden’s 385 acres and are recognized as models for excellence in restoration and habitat re-creation. They support hundreds of native plant and wildlife species, improve our water, air, and soil quality, and provide a natural laboratory for our conservation science programs. We invite you to wander designated paths to see firsthand the native plants and animals that call this region home. All of our natural areas provide accessible spots for nature lovers and anyone looking to take a walk in nature to de-stress and harness its restorative powers.
