Korean Astilbe

This native of Korea has a range that extends into east and central China. Clumps up to 5' across produce flower spikes up to 7' in height in June. Prefers partial to full shade light levels in consistently moist acidic soils. The new growth takes on a bronze cast before maturing to dark green.
