Lady Fern
Lady fern is a North American native that can tolerate dense shade and rabbits. The twice-pinnate fronds grow 2 to 3 feet in length, with fine teeth on the leaf segments. It can tolerate drier soil than other ferns, but if it is planted in a sunny spot, it needs to be kept constantly moist. It should be kept out of the wind to prevent frond breakage.
