Bryum Moss

Bryum Moss is one of the most common mosses and is one of the species identified in the moss garden in the Japanese Gardens. Its dense tufts can be identified by the corkscrew-like spiralling of the leaves when dry. They prefer moist, fertile material to grow on. This moss needs partial to full shade. It is a ground cover.
