Crested and twisted dark orange inflorescences (groups of flowers) grow in size throughout the growing season on this sun-loving annual. Plant in full sun in well-drained locations towards the front of the flower bed so that you and guests can lean over and touch the softly furry flower heads. Pollinators love the flowers, and song birds are strongly attracted to the seeds in fall.
