Pink Turtlehead
Native to North America, pink turtlehead attains heights of 2 to 3 feet. It is naturalized in moist areas or in the back of the perennial border. About an inch in length, pink flowers similar to snapdragons are borne on flower stalks in late summer and early fall. The large flowers are a late-season surprise. One of pink turtlehead's assets is the great variability of its use, from perennial border to water's edge. Its lovely pink flowers liven up the autumn landscape.
