This vigorous vine will grow to a height of 10’ with an 8’ spread. It blooms in late summer/early fall with purple flowers. Its roots need to be kept cool and evenly moist while the top of the plant needs full sun or partial shade. It prefers evenly moist, well-drained soil. Since it blooms on new wood, it can be cut back in late winter or early spring to manage growth.
