Cryptanthus 'mixed cultivars'

42.14706039, -87.79096222

Earth Star

Earth stars are among the smallest of bromeliads. These are terrestrial, with about 20 species, found only in Brazil, but with many cultivated varieties. They grow into rosettes with very stiff, toothy leaves five to ten inches across. Small white flowers are not the real attraction for these bromeliad cultivars - it is their brightly variegated leaves in contrasting colors. Grow in filtered sun with exceptional drainage.
