Cryptomeria japonica 'Dinger'

Dinger Japanese Cedar

Rope-like branchlets covered with tightly held awl-like needles are a feature of this compact rounded dwarf, maturing at 3 feet by 3 feet. 'Zinger' was found at a pinetum in the Netherlands and just recently was introduced into this country by Iseli Nursery. The yellow-green foliage takes on bronzy highlights with the cooler temperatures of winter. Plant 'Zinger' in full sun and in acidic, well-drained, moist soils. It's free of most insect and disease pests.
