From the colder higher elevations of southern Brazil comes this distinctive terrestrial bromeliad found growing in rock crevices. Long silver tinted green leaves are edged in white spines surrounding a flowering spike that can reach 8' in height with orange flowers. Grow in full sun, exceptional well drained soils with low fertility and protect from hard frosts.
