Purple buds open to reveal apricot shades of flowers on this nonhardy perennial that thrives in sunny locations with soils that dry between irrigations. This plant forms bushy mounds in warm winter climates (USDA Zone 7 - 9) that benefit from cutting back in July to rejuvenate the plant.
