Australian Lilac

Hardenbergia violacea ‘Happy Wanderer’ produces purple pea shaped flowers with a primrose yellow spot on the falls in January and February. A vigorous climber/sprawler, it needs a trellis or large tree to clamber over for best effect. This native of Western Australia does not tolerate alkaline soils.
