Berry Awesome Rose Mallow

Hibiscus 'Berry Awesome' has lavender pink flowers with a red eye. The flowers are 7-8 “ across, the size of dinner plates and are produced at nodes from the bottom to the top of the plant, rather than just at the ends of the branches. This is a member of the hibiscus SUMMERIFIC® series. The name Hibiscus came from the Greek work ‘hibiskos” that meant “marshmallow.” The sticky root or stem of some plant in the mallow family was used at one time to make marshmallow confections.
