Lady Stanley Shrub Althea

Hibiscus syriacus 'Lady Stanley' has double or semi double white flowers with red centers and red veins radiating outward from the center. This is a deciduous shrub that grows 8 - 12 feet tall and  blooms in August and September. It is hardy in zones 5 -9. When the species was named syriacus, it was thought to have originated in Syria, but it is actually native to China and India. Hibiscus syriacus is the national flower of Korea.
