Hibiscus syriacus 'Notwoodtwo' has pure white semi double flowers each with frilly centers of small petals. Although each flower lasts only one day, it blooms continuously from mid summer to fall. This is an upright shrub 6 to 8 feet tall which is hardy in zones 5 -9. It is a member of the Chiffon series and is sold commercially under the name WHITE CHIFFON™. Although when it was named syriacus, it was thought to have originated in Syria, the species is actually native to China and India.
