This low-growing, creeping evergreen shrub reaches about 6 inches in height with full sun. It can grow in a number of different soil conditions but cannot tolerate wet soils. It has bluish-green foliage that may become tinged with purple in the winter. It is non-flowering, but it occasionally produces berry-like seed cones. Resistant to deer, it can be used as a ground cover.
