Carpathian Snowflake
The waxy, white, pendulous flowers are decorated with yellow markings at the edges of the petals and smell faintly of violets. This native of Central Europe thrives in moist soil and tolerates some shade. Snowflakes superficially resemble snowdrops (Galanthus) but are taller and generally flower a few weeks later in spring.
