Large masses of pinkish-lavender flower are so heavy they cascade from the tips of the branches. This tropical shrub hails from the Philippines and features large leaves with the characteristic Melastomaceae patterns i.e. veins running parallel to the central vein from the base to the tip of each leaf and the flowers with the typical claw-shaped stamens.
