Red Dragonfly Japanese Woodland Primrose
Finely notched deep reddish pink flowers appear above the foliage in May. Unlike most primulas, this species tolerates soils that dry slightly in summer and will slowly spread to make a small clump. Plant in partial shaded conditions with moist soils and topdress with very fine soil in fall to support next years buds that were formed above the current years growth.
