A. Bedford Rhododendron

The A. Bedford rhododendron is a hybrid broad leaf evergreen of unknown parentage. It blooms in late April with funnel-shaped, fragrant, pale mauve flowers with darker lobes with a brownish-red blotch. The flowers bloom in trusses of 11 to 16 flowers. This rhododendron will tolerate some sun. Like all rhododendrons, it prefers well-drained, fertile, acidic soil.
