South America north through Central America to the southern coast of Texas
Plant Association:
Larvae feed on a wide variety of plants including Zanthoxylum fagara, Fraxinus berlandieriana, Salix, Prunus persica, Citrus, and Acacia. Adult moths have no mouthparts and do not feed.
Interesting Fact:
Adult moths emerge in the evening, and mate between the hours of 10 p.m. and midnight.
