Native to:

Southern United States to Bolivia and Argentina, including most Caribbean islands

Plant Association:

Larvae feed on bacopa, ruellia, and lippia.

Interesting Fact:

The genus Anartia is closely associated with Junonia and Precis. All three are sun-loving butterflies. The snow peacock is active mainly in the morning and can be easily seen when basking on the ground or on low foliage.
