Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer

Paul Rafac is executive vice president, chief financial officer, and treasurer of the Chicago Botanic Garden. He oversees institutional financial affairs - while also leading departmental administration in Finance, Information Systems, Administrative Services and Visitor Experience.

Rafac brings four decades of progressive experience in accounting and financial leadership, specializing in government and nonprofit institutions. He has served as lead finance executive for a variety of governments and nonprofits.

Rafac is a cum laude graduate in economics from the University of Chicago and holds an MBA from the Booth School of Business. His passion for youth development has included board leadership for the American Youth Soccer Organization, Villaseca Day Care Center, as well as youth chess programs.
