Abby Pan is a recent graduate of the Royal Carillon School in Mechelen, Belgium. She began her carillon studies in 2018 with Margaret Angelini as a student at Wellesley College and later served as president of the Wellesley Guild of Carillonneurs from 2021-22. During that time, she had the privilege of premiering several solo and duet pieces commissioned for the Wellesley carillon. Abby has played concerts in the United States, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Portugal, and currently serves as a juror on the Guild of Carillonneurs of North America’s Franco Committee, which hosts competitions for new carillon compositions. Currently she plays in Hoover Tower at Stanford University, where she is pursuing a PhD in physics developing x-ray detectors and readout electronics for future space telescopes.
