Join us for a joyful morning of live music and cultural celebration with the talented young musicians of the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance’s Latin Music Project. These emerging artists will showcase their skills through a spirited performance of traditional Puerto Rican music, celebrating the island’s rich heritage through rhythm, melody, and movement.
This special concert will also feature guest performers from the Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center, including members of Los Pleneros de Don Segundo, one of Chicago’s most respected Afro-Puerto Rican ensembles. Together, they will present a lively fusion of plena and bomba—two of Puerto Rico’s most beloved musical traditions.
Perfect for families and music lovers of all ages, this performance offers an inspiring glimpse into how the next generation is preserving and reimagining Puerto Rican musical traditions right here in Chicago.
