Hedge Maple

The Hedge Maple is native to most of Europe (in Scotland, it is the only native maple) and has been naturalized in North America and New Zealand. It is a slow grower and has deeply fissured, cork-like bark. The leaves have five, blunt, rounded lobes. The species can reach 35 feet with a similar spread and is generally used in hedges or as a street tree.
