Glossy Black Chokeberry

With a fairly upright branching pattern, black chokeberry grows 3 to 5 feet tall and forms low thickets. Wine-red fall foliage in concert with purplish-black fruits provide an attractive autumn display. Use black chokeberry in home landscape borders. Small, white flowers that are borne in clusters in May and June are not considered outstanding. Complementary fall foliage and fruit are the outstanding features of the glossy black chokeberrry, which is smaller than the red chokeberry. It has very attractive black autumn berries.
