Duchess of Albany Clematis

This vine will grow to a height of 12 feet with a 6-foot spread. It blooms from July through September with deep pink, tulip-shaped flowers. Its roots need to be kept cool and evenly moist; the top of the plant needs full sun or partial shade. It prefers evenly moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Since it blooms on new wood, it can be cut back in late winter or early spring to manage growth.
