Gold Dust Croton

Crotons are a widely distributed genus of plants that are found in tropical forests of Asia, Africa and the Americas although they are most commonly known as colorful and hardy houseplants in north America. In their native forests they can grow to ten feet high and six feet wide. Gold Dust croton has narrow dark green leaves spotted with yellow that appear to have been sprinkled with gold dust. In order to maintain their color these plants require hot temperatures, high humidity, and the partially sunny conditions provided by a tree or verandah. They require regular watering but not wet soil.
