Bashful Collarette Dahlia

The dark burgundy petals of Dahlia 'Bashful' shade to hot pink at the tips, with a boss of golden stamens in the center of the flower. The 3-inch, Collarette-style flower blooms on a plant that grows to 2½ feet by the end of the season. This is a great little dahlia for bedding, containers, and cut flowers.

Dahlias are not hardy in the Chicago area, and tubers must be dug, cleaned, and stored over winter. Plant this dahlia in full sun in the spring, when the danger of frost has passed.
