42.14735031, -87.78913116

Bolero Delphinium

Forty-five to 58 ruffled, purplish-blue petals surrounding central white petals are produced per flower, with between 41 to 58 flowers per spike in bloom for an extended time in mid-summer. A complex hybrid, in the making for 20 years, this cultivar is sterile and produces no seeds, meaning the life span of each flower is prolonged. It is propagated by tissue culture. For this delphinium, full sun and moderately fertile moisture-retentive acidic pH soils are ideal.
