Pacific Giant Black Knight Delphinium
Tall spikes of indigo blue flowers begin in late May and continue through June on this short-lived perennial. Plant this delphinium in full sun and in moisture-retentive, well- drained soil, and stake bloom spikes the first year to prevent them from toppling over. Plants are prone to crown rot in hot, humid weather, so planting on a slightly elevated mound is encouraged. All parts of the plants are poisonous.
