Dichorisandra pendula is known as weeping blue ginger, but is actually in the same plant family as dayflowers (Tradescantia), not ginger. The vivid blue flowers gracefully arch out and then down from the terminal flower spikes, lending an elegant aspect to the plant. This is a great perennial plant for the warmer parts of the United States (Zones 8 or warmer) or in a conservatory, where its winter flowers add a dramatic flare.
