Geum ‘Alabama Slammer’ was bred by Brent Horvath of Intrinsic Perennial Gardens. It stands 10 – 14 inches high and blooms from late spring to early summer with ruffled gold flowers that have orange and red markings. The flowers are semi doubles that measure 1 – 1 ¼ inches across. Plant it in full sun to part shade. It attracts butterflies and hummingbirds and is resistant to deer.
