Grape Soda Coral Bells

First introduced in 2010 as part of the SODA™ series, Heuchera 'Grape Soda' is an all over dark pink introduction from Terra Nova Nurseries. Grape Soda Coral Bells has dark pink to purple leaves with a silver frost. The flowers are a matching pink and purple. The leaves emerge a lighter rose pink color and deepen to a purple with the silver overlay on older leaves. This is a coral bells that can be used from full sun to full shade, the color being best developed with the most sun. It will attract bees and hummingbirds, and is deer resistant. This coral bells will mature to a tidy mounded form about 9 inches tall by 20 inches wide; the decorative spikes of pink flowers will appear in in late spring and summer and increase the height to 18 inches. The coral bells with colorful leaves are primarily grown for their decorative and outstanding foliage, but the airy spikes of flowers in spring and summer can add interest. Coral bells work well in containers and the front row of borders, and these can be mass planted in sun to partial shade as a groundcover. In milder climates the foliage is persistent and decorative. The other names in the series are Heuchera 'Ginger Ale', 'Cherry Cola' and 'Root Beer'.
