Obsidian Alumroot

Obsidian Alumroot has shiny dark purple leaves that will not fade in full sun. The dark, almost black, leaves will be beautiful all season, and in milder climates will be decorative through the winter. It has plumes of white flowers in late spring to early summer that contrast nicely with the dark leaves. The flower buds and the undersides of the leaves are both attractive shades of purple and red. Obsidian Alumroot has a compact form and is 10 inches high, 16 inches wide and 24 inches in flower. Attractive to bees, birds and resistant to deer, Obsidian Alumroot will work well in containers, perennial borders and planted in large numbers as a groundcover.
