Southern Comfort Coral Bells

Southern Comfort Coral Bells, introduced by Terra Nova Nurseries in 2007, is a Heuchera hybrid that has great color and heat tolerance. It matures to 14 inches tall and 24 inches wide. Very large leaves that begin peach and mature to a browner tone form a large leafy mound. 22 inch tall plumes of cream flowers appear in late summer and fall adding a fluffy aspect over the golden foliage. It will tolerate full sun to partial shade and is evergreen in climates with milder winters. It is deer resistant and the flowers will attract bees and humming birds. It will work well in perennial borders or as a groundcover. Fall color can be outstanding with leaves turning a mixture of burgundy and dark ivory.
