Hibiscus syriacus 'Paeoniflorus' has semi double lavender pink flowers with red centers and streaks of darker pink on the petals. This is an upright deciduous shrub 8 to 10 feet tall which blooms from mid to late summer. It is hardy in zones 5 – 9. Although when it was named syriacus, it was thought to have originated in Syria, the species is actually native to China and India.
