Panicle Hydrangea
DIAMOND ROUGE hydrangea takes its name from the colors of the flowers which appear in July as white and then change to pink and then burgundy red.
DIAMOND ROUGE is a compact hydrangea growing to only five feet tall and about four feet wide making it suitable for compact gardens. The flowers change color throughout the summer reaching a dark red in later summer as the evenings are cooling. Like most hydrangeas this plant will appreciate shelter from hot afternoon sun and drying winds and requires well-drained but consistently moist soil. Prune back in late winter as this plant flowers on new growth.
