Afterglow Winterberry
This shrub is a deciduous holly that can tolerate wet conditions; it is native to swampy areas of Eastern North America. Afterglow is a female cultivar which needs a male pollinator to produce red berries. One male winterberry will be able to pollinate 6 to 8 female shrubs. Prune to shape in early spring,just before new growth appears. This plant is a specimen in a hedge.
