Iris 'Summer Olympics' is a soft lime yellow tall bearded iris with ruffled petals. The centers of the falls fade to white around the yellow beards. It stands 31 inches high with branched stalks and blooms in early season with a gentle fragrance. It may rebloom. It is an excellent cut flower and is attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds while resistant to rabbits and deer. Iris is the name of the Greek goddess of the rainbow. The classic 'Fleur de Lys' which has been a symbol of royalty throughout history is an adaptation of the iris flower.
