Iris 'Like Wow' is a tall bearded iris that stands 32 inches high and blooms in mid season. The standards are white with pale lavender edges. The falls are deep purple with white centers and the beards are gold. The stems have 3 branches with 9 buds on each stem. The flowers are mildly fragrant and good for cutting. Tall bearded irises typically bloom after the dwarf irises but before the Japanese and Siberian Irises. They are attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds and resistant to rabbits and deer. Iris is the name of the Greek goddess of the rainbow. The classic 'Fleur de Lys' which has been a symbol of royalty throughout history was an adaptation of the iris flower.
