Baby lilac shrub flowers in late spring with purple fragrant trumpet -shaped flowers at about the same time as the lilac bushes are blooming. Leptodermis is a dwarf, mounding, deciduous shrub from northern China that typically grows to only 12-18” tall and about two feet wide making it perfect for a low hedge or as a component of a mixed border.
