Deep Rose Lobelia
Lobelia × speciosa STARSHIP Deep Rose features tall spikes of deep rose-pink flowers from late June to September. This lobelia is a hybrid between cardinal flower (Lobelia cardinalis) and great blue lobelia (Lobelia siphilitica). This cross sometimes occurs naturally in the Chicago area. The showy cultivars are not reliably hardy in Chicago-area gardens but are excellent selections for summer annual displays. It is deer and rabbit resistant.
