Native to Europe and Africa, horsemint is a wild, fast-growing herb that reaches about 1 foot tall. Leaves of the plant are long and narrow and vary from green to gray while small white-to-lavender flowers appear at the end of the stems from July to August. Horsemint is so named due to the unpleasant scent of the leaves.
